For Dual Completions and High Operating Pressures

The DL Stuffing Box is a combination stuffing box and tee, complete with Pack-Off Unit. The patented Pack-Off Unit is designed to keep the well under control while the packing is being changed. Grease pressure, applied to the unit through a capped Alemite fitting, forces the rubber bushing to seal around the polished rod, sealing the well. When the Stuffing Box is repacked, pressure is released on the Pack-Off Unit by means of the bleed-off check valve, and the bushing returns to operating clearance.

The DS Stuffing Box is a combination stuffing box and tee but does not have a Pack-Off Unit. Both Model DL and DS Stuffing Boxes are designed for application on dual pumping installations and to provide a stuffing box for operating pressures up to 2,500 psi. The minimum center line distance for make up in a dual well head is 3”. Packing rings are contained in a removable stainless-steel housing to facilitate easy replacement.

Pack-Off Adapter

This Adapter is designed to provide a pack-off below any conventional stuffing box. It is furnished with standard tubing thread on male bottom and 11 ½ V thread female top. Its function is the same as the Pack-Off Unit included on the Model DL Stuffing Box.

Model L

This one has it all. In addition to the Packing Container, the Model L “Easy Pack” Stuffing Box also includes the patented Pack-Off Unit designed to keep the well under control while the packing is being changed. Here’s how it works. Simply apply grease with a grease gun to the capped Alemite fitting. Grease pressure forces the rubber bushing to seal around the polished rod, sealing the well. When the Stuffing Box is repacked, release pressure on the Pack-Off Unit by means of the bleed-off check valve, and the bushing returns to operating clearance. The Little Giant Model L with Pack-Off Unit is the most economical stuffing box with this feature available on the market today.

Model S

This model is identical to the Model L, except it doesn’t include the Pack-Off Unit. But it does have the “Easy Pack” packing container that makes the tiresome old chore of changing packing rings a real breeze. Main elements of the Model S are the cap, the packing container, top and bottom bearing, packing rings, an O-ring, and the Adapter Body, which is interchangeable to fit any production flow tee.
